Our 7,500 sq. ft facility houses two professional stages (65-seat and 99-seat), rehearsal and classroom space, offices, and a large lobby gallery. The interior courtyard provides a hub for activity and a convergence of artists, businesses, residents, and visitors to this beachside destination. The complex is a stop on the tour of local gems designed by architect Frank Gehry.

The Los Angeles region has a wealth of small "black box" theatres, many of them housed in older structures.  Edgemar Center for the Arts theatre’s are unique in size and height and are designed for the challenges of modern stage productions. THE ON-CAMERA ACTING EVENT

 

 

This unique and fun evening allows you to experience star treatment as you prepare and execute your very own film debut. You and your celebrity guests will arrive on the red carpet amidst the paparazzi and entertainment press, and be interviewed throughout the evening. The footage will be used to create a special DVD memory of your spectacular party.

Guests will also enjoy being pampered in hair and makeup before experiencing their very own photo shoots. After the shoot, you will receive scripts containing a variety of scenes—from action-adventure to comedy to romance—to be performed in front of a camera. Michelle Danner, the Center’s Artistic Director and celebrity acting coach, will lead you and your friends through several fun exercises to help you get in character before the camera starts rolling.

After each “actor” has completed his or her scene, everyone will gather for a screening. At the end of the night, there will be an awards ceremony where Oscars will be presented for best actor, etc. Also included is a congratulatory champagne toast.

The On-Camera Acting Event is a truly exciting evening that you are sure to enjoy. All aspects of this theatre rental in Los Angeles can be tailored to your specific interests and budget.
